Biography

Spanish novelist, poet, dramatist and film director. He was the brother of acclaimed poet and actress Josefina de la Torre. He died on 10 January 1973 at age 77 in Madrid.

"El dia 29 comprendi que aquello iba en serio. Llegó Luis, el médico, enseguida y a las cuatro de la madrugada, nació Claudio, a quien se le puso Néstor, como su abuelo materno... Y así fue como en la mañana de un día 30 de octubre del año 1895, nace en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria..."
