Biography

Peruvian economist, businessman and politician, he served as Minister of Economy and Finance of Peru from 2016 to 2017 during the Government of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. Previously, he worked in executive positions at Development Analysis Group (1985-1987), World Bank (1988-1995), JP Morgan Chase (1995-2009) and Banorte (2009-2011). Latin Finance magazine named him the "best Mexican economist" in 1997, 1998, 2000 and 2001.
