Biography

American engineer noted as the lead structural engineer of the Twin Towers of the original World Trade Center in New York City. He served as structural engineer on numerous other skyscraper projects, including the U.S. Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, Shanghai World Financial Center, and the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong.

Robertson married three times and had four children. He died from blood cancer at his home in San Mateo, California, on 11 February 2021, the day before his 93rd birthday.
