Louis Pierre Alexis Pothuau

Biography

French naval officer and politician.

A Vice Admiral, Deputy of Paris and life senator, he was twice appointed Minister of the Navy and Colonies, before finishing his career as Ambassador of France to the UK.

He died on 7 October 1882.
