Biography
Dutch actress who became known as the grand old lady of the theater after her lifetime of work. She was one of the few Dutch artists who steadfastly refused to collaborate with the Germans during WW II, at risk of losing her occupation if not her freedom.
Nijhoff died 8/01/1995.
