Biography

French cinema pioneer who worked for the Lumière brothers, filming with Francis Doublier the crowning of Tsar Nikolai II of Russia. In April 1897, he was the first to film a President of the French Republic on his travels, capturing Félix Faure on film in La Roche-sur-Yon.

He died on 1 October 1943.
