Biography
Mexican lawyer and politician, who was the first woman to serve as Public Prosecutor in the state of Oaxaca in 1936. In 1947 she was appointed as a Magistrate in the then Federal Tax Court, becoming the first woman in Mexico with a position of that nature. She was also founder and president of the Mexican Academy of Fiscal Law, which was formally created on 29 January 1962. Dolores Heduán Virués died in Mexico City on 20 February 1998, aged 85.
