Biography
American entrepreneur who began his career in 1860 by buying a small railroad, selling it for a profit and repeating the process. He made millions by manipulating Erie stock and is said to have owned one tenth of every mile of railroad in the U.S. His estate was valued at $72 million (equal today to 78 Billion $)
