Biography
Spanish catholic priest, Archpriest of Huelva, bishop of Malaga and Palencia.
He was the founder of the Reparative Eucharistic Union, a religious movement made up of the Marías de los Sagrarios and Discípulos de San Juan, for lay people; the Diocesan Eucharistic Missionaries, for priests; and the Eucharistic Missionaries of Nazareth, for religious.
He was beatified in 2001 by Saint John Paul II and canonized in 2016 by Pope Francis. He is known as the Bishop of the Abandoned Tabernacle or the Apostle of the Abandoned Tabernacles .
He died in the Sanatorio del Rosario, in Madrid , on 4 January 1940.
