Biography

Australian-born South African businesswoman, former nurse, and a wife and mother, who was sexually assaulted and murdered on 16 January 2000 at age 46, along with her 11-year old daughter, Kia. The Fairheads were enjoying a fishing trip at the Eastern Cape when two young men and a male teen robbed, brutally attacked, violated and killed them.

The murderers received multiple life sentences in court in June 2000.

Brenda's widower Nigel Fairhead wrote a book about their lives, When All Else Falls Away, published in 2005.
