Biography
Filipino comedian-actor in the Philippines known by his screen names Dolphy, Pidol, and Golay (1944). He is widely regarded as the national King of Comedy for his comedic talent embodied by his long list of works on stage, radio, television and film. Dolphy died in Manila on 10 July 2012, at 20:34 local time, at the age of 83, due to multiple organ failure, secondary to complications brought about by pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and acute renal failure.
