Biography

American television personality, meteorologist, and producer, also known as "Sheriff Bob". Dawson was famous for creating and hosting the children's television series Sheriff Bob (1954-1978), which featured his kind-hearted personality and direct connection to his young audiences.

Dawson married and had two children. He died on 20 October 2014 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin at the age of 90. A documentary was produced about Sheriff Bob's life and aired on public television stations.
