Biography
American twin brothers conjoined at the head, noted as the first case where craniopagual twins were separated and one survived.
A surgery to separate them on 17 December 1952 by a team of 68 doctors and technicians in Chicago, Illinois took 12 hours and 40 minutes (starting at 7:50 AM).
Roger died 34 days after the operation, "shortly before 11 PM" on 20 January 1953. Rodney recovered from the surgery but did suffer from neurological damage. Because his skull was never closed he wore a helmet until his death from choking while his father fed him lunch on 9 June 1963 at age 11.
