Biography

French singer and songwriter, who became famous in the early 1960s with his first hit being "Aline" in 1965. He is also known for the song "Oh Mon Amour" that he sang in French and Italian. He had many downward periods and comebacks. At times, he was plagued with alcoholism and drug abuse that took a toll on his life, suffering from a nervous breakdown and depression.

In 1971 he married Veronique Kan, and they had a daughter Lucie, born the same year. He died in Brest on 16 April 2020 at age 74 due to COPD.
