Biography
Luxembourgish Impressionist painter who expressed a great love for his country in his artworks. Jean-Pierre Beckius studied from 1919 to 1926 in Paris. He also made long trips to Italy (Naples and Rome, 1928-1930) and the Netherlands (1933-1934). He is generally regarded as a painter of The Moselle (French: la Moselle, German: Mosel; Luxembourgish: Musel), a river flowing through France, Luxembourg, and Germany. He died on 11 December 1946, aged 47.
