Princess (1843) Alice

Biography

British royalty, Queen Victoria's third child, Grand Duchess of Hesse and carrier of the hemophilia gene. She married Prince Louis of Hesse in 1862; their fourth daughter, Alexandra, married Nicholas II of Russia.

She died of diphtheria on 12/14/1878, Darmstadt, Germany.
